Amazing...
Jun. 7th, 2004 09:18 pmHow one busy day at work can undo all the rest and relaxation from the weekend.
It was a good weekend, too. Went garage sale-ing with my mother on Saturday and got many good bargunzos, and talked to my friend T about plans to invade the Sterling Ren-Fest with the crew of the 'Merry Wastrel'. Sunday went to the 100 American Craftsmen festival at The Kenan Center, picked up a couple of rings made with this nifty fused glass (which I've promptly forgotten how to spell the name of), a card that I liked and some of my favorite nuts - cinnamon almonds. Mom also got me a little beaded strand of tiny origami critters - a butterfly and a crane, it looks like. My sister, for the second year in a row, walked in and within five minutes had won a door prize. She keeps putting in her card last, so we've informed her next year one of the other of us do it so she doesn't keep winning. :) Went for icecream and to visit the ducks in Glens Falls Park.
On the way to work today I got to get my early birthday present (because I actually /found/ what I was looking for) and an iced mocha and then....boom. Busybusybusy.
But now it's done, and I'm going to go home and play with the present and not think about work until tommorrow. Thank goodness.
