Most of what can be said has been already been said by other people and much better than I could have possibly written. I still haven't heard how Ben's Uncle Ray is doing - he is about 60 miles north of New Orleans so hopefully he's all right. The phone system obviously is not doing well at the moment, as evidenced by our customers that still actually have power in Mississippi and are calling because they can't get online. I really don't want to think about how many customers we no longer have in those areas at the moment, to be honest. I have a bad feeling that there may be some but I honestly don't know what are presence is like in those areas. I do talk to people a fair amount in Mississippi but not so much in Lousiana, so...who knows. Nobody does, right now.
I do want to put my voice out there to encourage people to do what they can to help, whatever that may be. I'm not going to try and push people into donating to a certain orginization or charity or group just because that should be your choice. All I can say is that if you can donate something somewhere, it'll help.
And then, 6 months from now, do it again.
*Edit: Ben's dad talked to Uncle Ray. He's fine - didn't know about how bad everything was because their power is out, though. Ben's dad is shaken, though. He grew up in Louisana, so this is especially hard for him.*
